I am very pleased with the results of my vein procedures performed by Dr Bratby. Every detail was explained prior to the operation and the follow up treatment. Although uncomfortable at times the results are worth it. The clinic has a relaxed feeling and Dr Bratby and the auxiliary nursing and administrative staff are great.
The only slight negative is that the clinic is a little hard to locate (for newcomers to the area) and parking limited

I had my first consultation in August 2022 with Dr Hacking. I had awful varicose and spider veins on my right leg since I was 19, now 36. I was very nervous before going in for the ultrasound but was soon put at ease by all the lovely friendly staff. I had my evla and foam sclerotherapy treatment in October 2022. I was surprised to how painless it was, I would say it was a little uncomfortable at times but not painful. I was in a little dis comfort for a few weeks after but regularly pain relief helped. I had another follow up foam sclerotherapy in January 2023 and overall I am happy with the results, I am no longer in pain with my leg, don't suffer with swelling in the leg, itching or pain that I used to have. Visually the lumpy veins have gone and are fading over time, however the reason I have not left a review sooner is that I am not really happy with the amount of spider veins and other surface veins I still have left on my leg, i still dont feel comfortable in having my legs on show. I thought I would have had more micro sclerotherapy treatment - maybe that wasn't included in the price which is ok fair enough but I wasn't told that.

We are really glad to hear that you had a good experience at our Southampton clinic, that our staff put you at ease and that you didn’t find the treatment to be painful. It is also brilliant to hear that your symptoms have gone following the treatment. We are sorry to hear however that you still have some thread veins remaining. In terms of the amount of sclerotherapy treatment given, there is a safety limit as to the amount that can be administered in a session. The consultant will treat as much as possible but once the safety limit has been reached they must stop. This is usually explained to patients prior to undergoing the treatment however we apologise if this wasn’t clear to you. Dr Mark Bratby, his assistant Kim, and the receptionist Anne-Marie, could not have been more friendly and helpful. I felt very relaxed, secure, and comfortable in their company.
Dr Mark explained everything clearly, and allowed for any questions I might have. He is very professional, open and warm. I was treated with respect as an equal - I could have been conversing with a friend (likewise with the entire team of staff). Would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

I had an extremely positive experience. The reception and surgery were very clean and all the staff very pleasant and welcoming. Dr Hacking, who carried out the procedure and follow up appointment was charming, explaining everything clearly and in a professional and friendly manner. The nurse assisting was also very friendly and chatty and it was obvious that there was a good understanding between both her and Dr Hacking. I would recommend the ‘Vein Centre’ without reservation.

Cleanliness and clinic layout of a high standard. Outstanding personal care. Faultless in every aspect. Everyone I came into contact with gave me their very best. I felt like I was a VIP. Should be 5* plus.

The care I received from all the staff at Southampton could not have been better. They were friendly, efficient, caring ans just lovely. Far more so than I have come to expect from the medical profession.

From initial consultation I felt comfortable an informed about treatment and follow up visits, treatment Doctor Bratby and Jenna the nurse were caring and considerate whilst I was undergoing treatment and get informative regarding the whole procedure .receptionist kept me up to date and sent a mail's regarding aftercare and follow up visits

Felt at ease from the minute I walked in. All procedures explained in full. Very friendly and professional and it really does work. Procedure painless and even after only a slight discomfort for a couple of days.
Just had my follow up all going well can see the difference would highly recommend this centre.

I found everyone at the vein centre was very friendly and helpful.
Everything was explained in great detail about my condition and recommended treatment.
The procedure was even more painless than I expected and the results have been excellent.
